Les Landes is an inclusive, non-selective single form entry school with classes from Reception to Year 6. We currently have 175 pupils on roll. Our catchment area serves much of the Parish of St Ouen but the easterly boundary is shared with St Mary.
Les Landes is part of a strong community in St Ouen, and the community aspect of the school is a strength. We are committed to, and pride ourselves on, a wide range of achievements. These include sports, outdoor learning and the creative arts. Our Core Values of Community, Achievement and Pride reflect our passion for learning and high aspirations for every child. We promote mental well-being alongside dispositions and skills such as creativity, confidence, collaboration and resourcefulness so that our pupils leave Les Landes well-equipped for the next stage in their learning journey.
Our learning environment
The school is set in beautiful surroundings, adjacent to fields and St George’s Church. On site, we have a large garden with raised beds, a mud kitchen, a pond and a fire pit. Our field has an amphitheatre, a petanque terrain and playground equipment. Learning beyond the classroom, and indeed beyond the school, is important to us so that pupils benefit from the rich culture and history that Jersey has to offer.
