Year 1 loved having artist Katherine Cardin into class to help them create their individual final pieces in her style. The children had prepared by practising different techniques, experimenting with colour and drafting and redrafting detailed drawings of sea creatures. When asked, the children said “Having a real artist in our class was really exciting” and “she showed us new techniques with different parts of brush” and “helped us be brave with your art and persevere with the dots”.
