Inclusion Kitemark Assessment
I am delighted to share that we have once again retained our status as an Inclusion Quality Mark Centre of Excellence following our review in March 2026. This recognition reflects the dedication, compassion and expertise shown every day by our staff, pupils and families.
The assessor praised the warm, supportive ethos that runs through our school, noting how confidently our children talk about their needs, celebrate each other’s differences and show genuine empathy. Our recent developments, including becoming an ADHD-Friendly School, strengthening transition processes, embedding Makaton across the school, and expanding support for multilingual learners, were all highlighted as strong examples of inclusive practice that benefit every child in our community.
I was especially proud to hear how positively pupils, parents and staff spoke about life at Les Landes. Children described feeling safe, supported and happy, and parents shared how valued they feel as partners in their children’s education. Our staff were recognised for their commitment, teamwork and unwavering belief in every child’s potential.
Inclusion is not a project; it is who we are. This review reflects the collective effort of our whole community, and I want to thank you all; children, families and staff, for helping us make Les Landes School such a special place to learn and grow.
We look forward to building on this success in the term and year ahead as we continue to strengthen emotional wellbeing, deepen partnerships with local schools, and develop new ways to support every learner.
With best wishes for a lovely Easter break,
Mrs Charlesworth
