Pop in
Thank you for supporting our pop in this week. It was lovely to see the children sharing their work with such pride. It was a great idea from parents to run a cake sale and this raised £346!
Summer Term Curriculum Letter
Please follow this link to download your child's curriculum letter from their class teacher. This outlines learning for the term, details any trips or residentials and will help you to support your child this term. There will be one to one parent consultation meetings in June.
Thank you for your considered and constructive feedback about the pilot pick up. Many of your concerns are also shared by the school; the loss of community, the lengthy lining up for children and the inability to connect briefly with teachers. The heavy reliance on staff was also a concern long term. This week, colleagues from the Department for Infrastructure observed the pick up so that we could take advice regarding safety. I will feed back more fully in the coming weeks but I wanted you to know that your feedback is appreciated and has been noted.
Polite request about dogs
A reminder that whilst dogs are permitted in the playground and must be on a lead, we would like to remind you that they shouldn't come into the school building.
Staff changes next week
For your information Mrs Charlesworth, Mrs Price, Mrs Betts and Emma will be away next week with Y6, on a five day residential at a PGL Centre in Dorset. Mrs Webster will lead the school and all communication should come to the office as usual. Ms Creswell will be teaching Y5 next week.
Cycle helmet request
If your child outgrows their cycle helmet and it is in good condition, please consider donating it to Reception as they use these every day. Thank you.
Easter Bake Sale!
The infamous Richardson Bake sale was well supported on Good Friday. Congratulations to Molly and Elsie, who raised £1,060 for Brighter Futures and Pain Support Jersey.
Well done to our Y5 and Y6 swimmers who took on the challenge of the swimarathon, raising money for local charities. Their confidence, support for one another and positive attitude was so lovely to see! The swimmers raised an incredible £760!
Les Quennevais' Reading Ambassadors met our librarians and School Council to discuss ways in which we can encourage reading for pleasure. We have made a plan to visit Les Quennevais next term.
