Jersey Kids' Triathlon
This week, Eve Mann (Sukey's mum) spoke to the children about Blood Cancer UK and how funding from the Junior Triathlon funds research. She was positive about her own cancer journey and is in recovery. The Junior Tri is a fantastic event open to children in Y2 to Y6 and it has always been well supported by Les Landes. Entry is here, it's Saturday 6th June. There are still a few spaces left but it is filling up fast.
Message from Emma - This week in Assembly our Mental Health Ambassadors shared that next week is Mental Health Awareness Week. The theme is Take Action. There is a sheet on the website that you can print and colour which has suggestions on it for things we can do as individuals that can benefit ourselves and also our community. The sheet can be found at the bottom of the wellbeing webpage see link : Les Landes School - Wellbeing

Cycle Crocodile - Adult Volunteers required
Many of the volunteers who originally supported the Les Landes School Cycle Crocodile now have children confidently cycling to school independently. To ensure this fantastic initiative can continue running this term, we are urgently looking for more adult volunteers who are able to give some of their time to help supervise and support the group. Without additional support, the Cycle Crocodile will not be able to run this term. If you are willing to help, please contact Jo Darwood or email admin@leslandes.sch.je and we can pass on your message.
Puffins - Bookings now open for next term
Puffins are very exciting to announce our sessions for the next academic year. For more information and to register/book please visit our website to complete necessary forms, view our schedule, policies and costs.
Well done to our Y5 and Y6 swimmers who took on the challenge of the swimarathon, raising money for local charities. Their confidence, support for one another and positive attitude was so lovely to see! The swimmers raised an incredible £760!
Les Quennevais' Reading Ambassadors met our librarians and School Council to discuss ways in which we can encourage reading for pleasure. We have made a plan to visit Les Quennevais next term.
