Thank you!
A final message from me.
For 13 years, Les Landes has been so much more than a job to me. It has been a huge part of my life; a place where I have grown as a leader and as a person, where I have laughed every day, (well, maybe not every day!) faced challenges, celebrated successes and made memories that I will always carry with me.
Thank you to the staff, for going above and beyond for every child and believing in what we could achieve together.
Thank you to the parents, grandparents and families; for trusting me with your children and supporting not only the school, but me. I can’t tell you the difference it has made to have had your unwavering support over the years. This morning in assembly, I opened a Montblanc pen, a silver bracelet and earrings and an Ian Rolls print of the school. Thank you so much for the generous gifts, I have been blown away by your kindness.
Thank you to every child who has walked through our doors during my time as Headteacher; you have made me smile, challenged me, inspired me and reminded me every day why education matters.
It’s been the greatest privilege to be the custodian of the school. Although I am excited about the next chapter and the opportunity to make a difference for children and schools across Jersey, saying goodbye to Les Landes is incredibly hard. Whether I’m back in two years following the secondment remains to be seen, but for now, the school is in the safest of hands.
Best Wishes for a wonderful summer break,
Mrs Charlesworth
