I hope you all enjoyed the break last week. This half term is arguably the busiest of the school year and there is so much happening. In the next few weeks we have the Kids triathlon, parent consultations, residential trip for Y5, transition arrangements for Y6, Sports Day, Summer Fayre, class assemblies and the Y6 leavers' assembly. We are also beginning to welcome our new families for September. The staffing for September is not finalised, but I will share this when I am able to. In the meantime, I will try and keep all communication as simple as I can. Thank you to parent reps for passing information on via Whatsapp, too.
Sports Day - time change
UNCRC article #29
Our annual Sports Day is in the calendar for Friday 28th June. Unfortunately, we have to amend the time to 10-12pm due to several children having ballet exams during the afternoon (including several house captains). These are set nationally and we do not want the children to miss either event. We appreciate this timing might not be ideal and we apologise for the change. If you are able to join us, everyone is welcome on the field for 10am.

Thank you for supporting this fundraiser. We raised £412 for school fund and house charities.
Kids Triathlon
UNCRC Article#24
Last chance to sign up. Last year, 40% of our children entered and we are hoping to equal that this year.
A couple of parents have asked about the swimming ability needed, particularly for Y2/3. There are adults in the pool, they are allowed to use noodles / floats. It's a really encouraging event and it's not competitive. Every child receives a medal.
A reminder that these are taking place next week, 11 and 13 June. Thank for signing up promptly.
Pick up changes
UNCRC article #3
From today, Y3-6 will exit through the main entrance. The field gate will be locked until 3.15. This allows for a safer handover and ensures children are all collected. Once Mr Hill finishes the road crossing, he will open the gate for families to make use of the space. The field will remain closed until 4pm on Mondays and Tuesdays when the field is hired out.
Summer Fayre
UNCRC article #29
This is fast approaching and I would like to invite parents to an initial planning meeting. Please come along if you can - many hands make light work! This will be Monday 17th June at 6pm.
This event is a favourite in our school calendar and we want to retain out trophy for the school with the largest number of entrants. Blood Cancer UK (Jersey) is a charity supporting local families in our community.
