Thank you for supporting last week's stalls, in aid of house charities and school fund. The children were so excited about each one of them.
Cake sale: £211, jars £301, children's sales £235, Y6 games and lollies £464; a total of £1211. If you are owed anything please let Mrs Wiseman know. In Autumn, we can debrief these and plan for the year ahead.
Leaver traditions
On Thursday, the children will line the red carpet before home time as Y6 exit one by one. After this, we will take all classes back into school to collect their things for home time at 3pm. You are welcome to come to the playground any time from 2.30pm if you would like to watch our traditional send-off.
On Friday, it is the Y6 cycle day. The class cycle down to La Braye for a swim, arriving back at 2.45pm to do a lap of honour of the field on their bikes. You are welcome to come into the playground to welcome them in from 2.40pm.
Please be aware that parking may be more of a challenge than normal.
The community kitchen and the servery should be completed by September. In September, the offices and staffroom will be moving ready for the build to start in October. There will also be changes to toilets. Portacabins will be arriving in the coming days.
Meet The Teacher
Please keep the date; Tuesday 10th September, 6pm. This is an opportunity to understand the curriculum your child will be following and know how you can support them. You will also hear about the current position of the school, last year's achievements and next year's priorities.
Dates next year
As many dates as we can we have added to the website calendar. We have also finalised the club timetable for Autumn.
Congratulations to every child who put themselves forward to represent their class at School Council. The classes have voted and the newly elected Council is:
Y1: Jack Manners, Sophie Guyoncourt
Y2: Fred Vibert, Hazel Davies
Y3 Joel Leonard, Evaney Kelly
Y4 Alice Militis, Neve Roberts
Y5 Mia Edwards, Olivia McDonald
Their first task will be helping me to write next year's School Development Plan.
Parent Reps
A huge thank you to the parents who stepped up this year to be reps. Having the WhatsApp group has really helped with effective communication, especially as there is always so much happening. Apart from the new Reception class, the positions are filled and will be as follows:
Year 1 Vicky Brown (Joshua's mum)
Year 2 India Sappe (Sebastian's mum)
Year 3 Brett Le Muer (Joey's dad)
Year 4 Dominique Le Cocq (Alby's mum)
Year 5 Bart Messervy-Evans (Clara's dad)
Year 6 Kristina Eaton (Emily's mum)
Thank you
Finally, ahead of Friday, thank you for supporting your children and our school this year. We have achieved so much and we remain committed to securing the best outcomes for every child. Apart from the strong progress across the curriculum, they have made memories which we hope will last forever. As educators, we are privileged to be in a profession where we can make a difference, and we can't do that to the best of our ability without your support.
Have a wonderful summer break and we look forward to welcoming everyone back on Wednesday 4th September.
