Jersey Children's Day

This is taking place on Sunday 13th July from 10am-5pm at Howard Davis Park. Lat year, 10,000 people attended and there is lots of entertainment for families. Our choir will be singing on the bandstand 11.30am until 12pm. They would appreciate your support!

Phones, social media and surviving the online world

The Department for Children, Education, Young People and Skills (CYPES) have organised an evening for parents to support families in setting healthy boundaries around technology, with practical tips and conversations.  The speaker is Natasha Devon, a writer, speaker and campaigner.  There are two sessions, both in the evening, 16th or 17th September 6-8pm and there is an option to join online. None of us have all the answers, but knowledge will help us to navigate the world we now live in.

Fundraising events

Thank you to our fundraising team who organised the sales in the last week. These small events really do add up and make a difference to the resources we can afford for the children.

Ear piercing suggestion

If you are considering getting your child's ears pierced, a polite request to consider doing this at the start of the holidays because that way, they can remove them for PE days/lessons and we avoid them having to be taped.  The rules around piercings for PE are not school ones, we adhere to the organisations who make the rules! Thank you.

Past Pupil congratulations

We love to share news of past pupils and several of them have been awarded prizes and leadership roles at Les Quennevais. In Y7, of the 15 awards for curriculum excellence, we think 54% of them were awarded to Les Landes past pupils. Considering we make up only 14% of  Y7, this is a huge achievement and testament to their motivation and thirst for learning.

Congratulations to Barley, Deputy Head Girl; Eva, Watts House Captain; Nava, McKeon Sports Captain. It's great to see these girls in leadership roles and speaks to the pride they have in their school.

Autumn Term Clubs

All clubs will start on Monday 15th September

A Cycling Crocodile celebration - Wednesday 15th July

Please join us for the largest crocodile Les Landes has ever seen. If you've never joined us, this is a good day to come along.  It will be the last croc for our Y6 children, many of whom were founding members in 2022. We want to celebrate their last crocodile with lots of support. We leave the Methodist Church at 8.15am.

Join us in saying farewell to Y6

On Thursday 17th July, the Y6 children will walk out from the main entrance and down the red carpet at approx 2.30pm, with the children lining the carpet on either side.  You are welcome to join us in the playground to celebrate their departure.

On Friday 18th July, Y6 will return from their cycling day and will do a lap of honour on the field, with the whole school greeting them there.  If you would like to welcome them back, we will be arriving back to school at 2.45pm and support for them on the gate would be lovely.
