We have a new plan for children who don't have lunch

Last day for Romanian shoeboxes is Wednesday 22nd October

Non-uniform day for House Charities - Friday 24th October  - donation via Parent Pay

Just One Tree - Friday 7th November - donation via ParentPay

The school will close at 1pm (instead of 3pm) on Thursday 18th December

Please settle Breakfast Club accounts and let us know if you have changes for January

New arrangement for children without lunch

We have an increasing number of children forgetting their lunch or not realising they do not have a hot lunch booked; often not realising until lunchtime when it is too late to call parents. We now have a supply of crackers, cheese, fruit, crisps etc so if you child does not have lunch we will provide them with one and invoice you £2.50.  We cannot guarantee they will receive a hot lunch because there isn't often surplus.

End of term early closure at Christmas Thursday 18th December

The staff lost INSET time in September because the planned renovation works were not complete. In order to complete the madatory training, we will be closing after lunch on the last day of term in December. We hope that this causes minimal disruption for families. Puffins will be operating 1-3pm to support childcare, should you need it.  Jbpuffins@gmail.com

Sign in / out

If you child is late they will need to sign in on the ipad at the school office.  If you collect your child during the school day, you will need to sign them out.  The new system has improved our safeguarding and given us instant information as to who is in the building.  Thank you for our support.

Mustard Seed Jersey Christmas Shoeboxes

The shoeboxes are gifts for children and adults in Romania and Ukraine and will be collected from school on Wednesday 22nd October.  If you haven't donated before, here are the details:

Christmas Fayre 28th November

Please keep in the back of your mind, we will be asking for raffle prizes nearer the time.  More event details after half term but class reps will start asking for volunteers for 15 minute slots for a stall. The next planning meeting is Monday 3rd November 3pm.  Stall include a number children's games, guess the weight of the cake, guess the sweets in the jar, Santa's grotto, bottle stall, teas and homemade cakes, raffle, children's decorating activity, face painting and a disco! The choir will sing, too.

Just One Tree - Friday 7th November

JUST ONE Tree, an official partner in the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, is an award-winning non-profit removing CO2 from the atmosphere and reversing biodiversity loss through global reforestation.

JUST ONE Tree supports reforestation projects in areas severely affected by deforestation such as Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique & Brazil. In doing so they have the greatest positive effect on limiting global warming whilst simultaneously alleviating extreme poverty within local communities through the provision of training, agricultural education and sustainable incomes.

JUST ONE Tree makes it simple for everyone to take collective action on the climate crisis because Just £1 plants 1 Tree.

All children will be invited to put theit thumbprint on a painted tree, in acknowledgement of thier donation. Their £1 will enable a new tree to be planted. Please donate via ParentPay.

Our forest total for 2024 was 1004 trees, lets hope we can increase this number

Breakfast Club

Please let the school office of any changes you may require to your Breakfast Club bookings for the start of January 2026, we will aim to accommodate as many families as we can, however,  the bookings remain very busy with a waiting list.

If you still have a remaining balance to pay, this must be paid by the end of November as Mrs Wiseman needs to finalise the end of year accounts.

Thank you!!!

Our sponsored walk raised an incredible £2830 which will go towards our outdoor plan and learning project this year. Thank you for your support.
