Jersey Family Court Advisory Service (JFCAS)
JFCAS officers are experienced social workers who specialise in supporting separated families. They are independent of social services and other agencies, and are based at the Jersey Probation and After-Care Service under the Royal Court.
Their main role is to advise the Family Court on the best interests of children and families where there are disputes about arrangements affecting a child’s welfare.
In addition, JFCAS officers can also offer advice and support alongside Early Help services. They act as a resource for parents and carers to help them make decisions for themselves and their children when parenting after family separation.
