Every Girls Moves is a Sports event aimed at providing girls in Jersey with an opportunity to participate in sports and physical activity, with a core theme around wellbeing, socialising and having fun. The event will be host to various local sports organisations and clubs who will be running drop-in taster sessions, demonstrations and stalls. The event was created by one of our young workers at St Marys Youth Club, Lauren, who at the beginning of 2025 came up with a new year's resolution to empower more girls locally to get into sport after hearing about the barriers and stigma from her peers and other girls she supported at youth club. Lauren ran consultations around the island at various youth clubs and is keen to encourage as many girls aged 8-18 to come to the event, have fun and try out some new sports and activities. The event will be held at Les Quennevais School across their outside and indoor sports facilities on Monday 21st of July between 10am and 3pm! There will be plenty of additional games and activities alongside sports workshops, as well as free lunch for all participants. This community event is a free drop- In, however all under 13s must be accompanied by an adult.
